Remeber those early days of The Net? You know, with websites that featured all flavours of optical carnage? Many were hosted on [shudder] GeoCities, and I'm sad to say I was one those guilty of perpetuating design that was punitive to the peepers.
From the iconic "Under Construction" image that so many today would consider completely unacceptable, to those eye watering colour schemes and flashing lights, I found a site that has undertaken to archive many of the worst designed websites. And many of these archived sites are actually real commercial websites. The mind boggles.
Check out websitesfromhell.net for a glimpse back in time. Actually, some of the sites featured aren't that old.
